Construction Laborer – Maintenance Shops
Job Location: Thompson, Manitoba & Surrounding Area
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Report to: Shop Supervisor
Job Summary: Proven ability to perform multiple tasks, including site preparation, material handling, and assisting on-site personnel.

Shift & Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week.
Overview
We are actively recruiting for an experienced, results-driven Laborer to work at our Maintenance Shops in Thompson, Manitoba. Responsibilities & Duties
- General shop housekeeping and clean up.
- Fuel & grease equipment including both on & off highway units.
- Assist technicians with labor components of equipment repair.
- Equipment washing and repair clean up.
- Tire repair & replacement on pickup trucks, semi tractors, and trailers.
- Work with hand tools (shovels, brooms, rakes, bars, etc.).
- Use hazardous materials information.
- Use hazardous disposal techniques.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Perform other activities in the shop and in the field, as directed.
Requirements, Education, Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- Physically fit to safely perform labor tasks including heavy lifting.
- Any previous experience in an industrial setting will be considered an asset.
- Work both independently and as a TEAM member.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments.
- Grade 12 diploma is preferred.
- Must hold a valid class 5 driver’s license.
